As the Director of Admissions, I want to personally thank you for your interest in Breakwater. From its founding in 1956, Breakwater has provided students with a safe and engaging environment in which to grow and flourish. Our students come from diverse backgrounds and hail from over twenty communities in Southern Maine. Breakwater is a close-knit learning community with a low teacher: student ratio that allows the classroom teacher--and all members of the faculty and staff--to get to know every child. Our faculty is comprised of committed and creative teachers whose passion for learning and respect for children is evident each and every day. The best way to understand the Breakwater experience--what we call The Breakwater Way--is to visit us.
